TupuOra was honoured to contribute to the inaugural coronation celebration of Te Arikinui Kuini Nga wai hono i te po, through its flagship initiative Ako Ararau, that featured as part of the coronation itinerary.

Centred on ‘Rangatahi’ this iteration of Ako Ararau adopted the theme ‘E Oho Rangatahi, Maranga Mai’. A favourite of Kingi Korokī, this particular line from the waiata ‘He aha kei taku uma?’ speaks to the importance of rangatahi engaging in and supporting efforts to advance the needs and aspirations of iwi, hence ‘E oho rangatahi, maranga mai; hapainga tō iwi e’.
